A New Way to Support Ecosystem Projects

At Rumble Kong League (RKL), the community is at the heart of everything we do. Since we first launched, our amazing diamond-handed community have created some great projects to support and expand what we are building. We’ve been looking for the ideal way to more directly support these creations. Now we’ve found it. We are beyond excited to announce that we have partnered with Penny Jar Capital to launch the Kongcubator, an investment fund that will act as an accelerator for projects within the RKL ecosystem. In addition to this, we’re delighted to announce that Penny Jar is also a participant in our Series Seed round.

Penny Jar Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm, investing in founders who challenge the status quo and turn ideas into category-leading businesses. The Penny Jar team has been deeply connected to RKL and the community since our mint last summer, holding over 20 Kongs, planning and managing our first merch drop, building a club and more.

The vision for this fund is part Y Combinator, part Shark Tank, but with a Web3 ethos. Projects that win the support of the Kongcubator will receive funding, advisory support, and an expansive network to leverage as they grow.

Establishing this fund and enabling the best ideas in the RKL ecosystem was a natural next step for us because the community has already fueled so many creative things. There was the Art Kongtest filled with incredible pieces of digital and physical art. The KongStats website was created for searching Kongs by boosts before the official RKL marketplace is completed. The Courtside podcast continues to cover the league developments and deliver insightful interviews. With each passing week, we see new music, animations, and Club creativity. It’s clear that this is a special community ready for more investment.
